Malampuzha Rock Garden

The Malampuzha Rock Garden, created by artist Nek Chand-inspired designer Padmasree Nek Chand Saini, is a remarkable artistic installation within the Malampuzha Tourism Complex in Palakkad. It’s India’s second rock garden and Kerala’s first, and it’s built entirely from recycled materials, including tiles, glass, electrical parts, bangles, and kitchenware.

Located adjacent to the famous Malampuzha Dam, this garden is more than just a visual delight – it’s a statement about environmental consciousness and creativity. The pathways lead you past figurines, sculptures, mosaic work, and interactive art zones, all arranged amidst shady trees and colorful backdrops.

Perfect for both children and adults, it complements a visit to the dam, ropeway, or garden and encourages a sense of curiosity and play.
