Padagiri Viewpoint
Padagiri Viewpoint, also known as Nellikotta, is the highest point in the Nelliampathy Hills, located at about 1572 meters above sea level. Known for its panoramic view of the Western Ghats, misty forests, and deep valleys, Padagiri is the highlight of any trip to Nelliampathy.
Reaching Padagiri involves a short trek or drive through tea estates and dense forest routes. The summit gives sweeping views of Pothundy Reservoir, Palakkad plains, and cloud-draped hill ranges. It’s an excellent spot for sunrise photography, nature walks, and peaceful reflection.
Often shrouded in mist, Padagiri is ideal for nature lovers and offers a quieter alternative to Munnar. If you’re in Nelliampathy, Padagiri is a must-stop viewpoint for its sheer grandeur and untouched vibes.
